One is called "logosample" or something similar. This is the image that we have inserted into the first preview. The other image is called "logo", or "logoblank" which you can modify.
1. Open an imaging program such as PhotoImpact, Paint Shop Pro, etc. and open the blank logo image. Increase the color depth to 16 million colors. Apply your text. Then reduce the color depth back to 256 colors and save in
"gif" format. Import or save the revised image back into your FrontPage images folder. (NOTE: With PhotoImpact, you can easily apply any special filter effects like we did on our sample text.)
Time-Saving Tip |
| If you save your revised file back into the FrontPage Template "images" folder using the same name already in there ("logosample.gif", "adbannersample.gif", etc.), you won't have to replace the existing images on all your
pages. |
2. You can use the "Text Overlay Tool" within FrontPage. Replace the logo sample image above with the blank logo image. Highlight the image. Open the Picture Properties window (View / Toolbars / Picture). Select the large "A"
and type your text on top of the blank image. You can set your text font, size, and color. Save the page.

All of the extra images used within the FrontPage Templates and HTML Web Templates OR provided as Special Extras, such as the Affiliate Ready™ banners and Banner Ads, are contained inside of sub-folders in the FrontPage Templates and
HTML Web Templates, such as "images", or "stationery" which you can see when you look at the Folders View of your web. You can edit any of these images inside of an imaging program (like PhotoImpact 7, PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.)
Because
several extra images are used to make the FrontPage Templates and HTML Web Templates layouts so unique, all of these images can be found in the images folder. It is important to remember that if you delete an image from this folder, it will not be viewed on the web page.
Some Helpful Hints About FrontPage Template Images: |
- All FrontPage Template images are in either .GIF or .JPG format.
- To modify any image, you must move it into an Imaging Program and increase the color depth to 16 million colors. This will uncompress the image. Save back to the original format before returning the image to the Images
folder.
- If you wish to substitute your own image in place of an existing one the FrontPage Templates and HTML Web Templates, it must be the same size as the original.

Image Gaps:
You have spent hours getting your images perfectly placed within a table so they will look seamless. Now when you preview the page, tiny one-pixel gaps appear! Disaster.
The major cause is that FrontPage will occasionally kick the closing table cell tag </td> down
one row. You will have to click on your HTML tab and locate the table cell. (We suggest you highlight the cell or row in the Normal view. While it is highlighted, click on the HTML tab and the same information will be highlighted on that view, too.)
Locate any
closing cell tag (</td>) that is sitting on a row by itself or at the beginning of a line. More it back the the end of the previous line. Save the page while in the HTML view.
Please do not confuse the beginning cell tag <td> with the closing cell tag
</td>!!
